OK, so I took a week off…

I love writing this site. And I appreciate the feedback from my friends and family who visit. I kind of wish more people would visit and leave comments, but I’ll get to that in a minute.

Unfortunately, real life sometimes gets in the way of sharing bits and pieces of your life online. I have a full time job and also to a little side work here and there when I can. Doing that, along with being married, simply takes up a lot of time. The lovely Mrs. Vargas and I realized how crazy busy we are. We’re happy and all, but when you come to the realization that you live in one of the entertainment capitols of the world and haven’t’ been to a single show since you moved here, it serves as a wake-up call that maybe it’s time to either throttle back a bit or learn some time management skills.

I have about 5 restaurant reviews to write. I have many stories to tell. I have inane things to report about my daily life! Despite that, I decided to take the week off from site updates and writing. Because of that week off, I am going to try to devote a little time each day to putting something up on the site. I like that calendar in the left column to have lots of links in it. That’s one sign of a good blog. Dead blogs don’t get updated…

So what will I be posting? It might be a full-fledged story. It might be a quick quip about what I did yesterday, or it might be something else entirely. At the very least, I will try to post a link to another site I find interesting. Links are what makes the web go ’round, and we could all use a few.

Speaking of which, you know how I mentioned that I wanted to increase my traffic and recognition? You can help if you’ve got a web site, especially a blog. Link to me! It’s really easy: just put a link to “http://larsvargas.com” anywhere on your site. Feel free to write a page or two about what a self-absorbed weirdo I am.

Here’s the HTML. Feel free to copy and paste: Lars Vargas

And if you link to me, let me know. I’d be happy to link back to you. Kind of what the bloggers call a “shout out”. Or what I call reciprocity. I’m too old to use that kind of lingo.
